The Beauty Institute Australia provides professionally selected student kits to support practical learning and assessment throughout your course.
This policy outlines the responsibilities of both students and The Beauty Institute Australia regarding kit supply, delivery, warranties, damaged or missing items, and returns.
Student Kits
Most courses include a professional student kit containing the products, equipment and resources required to successfully complete practical assessments.
Where necessary, The Beauty Institute Australia reserves the right to substitute products with equivalent items of equal or greater quality without prior notice.
Kit contents vary depending on the course and may occasionally be updated to reflect industry improvements or supplier availability.

Delivery Responsibilities
Students are responsible for ensuring:
If a student authorises a courier to leave a parcel in a safe place, The Beauty Institute Australia cannot accept responsibility for parcels that are lost, stolen or damaged after delivery has been confirmed by the courier.

Delayed or Undelivered Kits
If your student kit has not arrived within 21 days of receiving your dispatch notification, please contact Student Support so we can investigate with the courier.

If a parcel is returned to the sender because it was not collected or an incorrect delivery address was supplied, additional freight charges may apply before the kit can be re-dispatched.
Checking Your Kit
Upon receiving your kit, we recommend inspecting all contents as soon as possible.

Any missing, incorrect or damaged items should be reported promptly.

Missing Items
If you believe items are missing from your kit, please notify Student Support within 30 days of delivery.
Claims submitted after 30 days may not be eligible for replacement.
To assist us in resolving your request, we may ask you to provide:
- photographs of the unpacked kit showing all items received
- photographs of the shipping box and packaging
- your packing slip (if supplied)
- a description of the missing item(s)

Damaged Items
If any products arrive damaged or faulty, please contact Student Support within 30 days of delivery.

Some products supplied within student kits have expiry dates or recommended usage periods after opening.
Students are responsible for:
- storing products according to manufacturer recommendations
- monitoring expiry dates
- replacing expired products if additional study time extends beyond the product's usable life
The Beauty Institute Australia cannot replace products that expire through normal use or extended storage.
Kit Ownership
Student kits become the property of the student once dispatched, subject to the terms outlined in this policy and any applicable refund policy.
Students are responsible for maintaining and caring for all equipment supplied throughout their course.

If an enrolment is cancelled in accordance with The Beauty Institute Australia's Refund Policy, any supplied student kit must be returned before a refund can be processed where applicable.
